"The fireflies that embellish the trees" is a short story based on a Matlatzinca custom, a tale that rescues a Saint Peter's Day tradition in which people and fireflies took care of trees so they bear more fruits. The cut out illustration was part of a group exhibition organized by the Mexican embassy in Bucharest, "Sixty eight voices and sixty eight hearts".
